Vision2020 and AIChE co-hosted sessions at AIChE's Fall Conference

  • Separations 2020 Session presented results from several Vision2020 research projects. (PDF 352 KB)
  • Vision2020 Nanotechnology Session presented results from the Nanomaterials and the Chemical Industry Roadmapping Workshop (PDF 707 KB)

Vision2020, the National Nanotechnology Initiative (NNI), and the Department of Energy (DOE)

A workshop was held for preparing the Nanomaterials and the Chemical Industry roadmap. The meeting, held on September 30th through October 2nd at the BWI Marriott in Baltimore, brought together experts from the industry to carefully document the chemical industry's nanomaterial priorities that are pre-competitive and in the nation's best interest. This roadmap can play a key role in guiding federal investment decisions. Download the press release. (PDF 69 KB)

AICHE Spring Conference – "Energy and a Sustainable Planet"

The conference included a Vision2020 Luncheon. At the luncheon participants learned about Vision2020, an industry-led process to accelerate innovation and technology development by leveraging financial and technical resources, and how their company could benefit from participating in future Vision2020 activities.

Topical Conference "Technology for Tomorrow's Chemical Industry"

The conference was held in conjunction with the Spring Conference highlighted the results of collaborative R&D co-funded by the Department of Energy (DOE) and supporting Vision2020 goals. There was a Reception and Poster Session and Presentations on Chemical Industries of the Future (IOF) projects, all supporting Vision2020 goals, which took place during eight open sessions.

CCR 23rd Annual Meeting – "Collaboration and Innovation in a Time of Change"

The annual meeting hosted a Vision2020 Workshop which provided an opportunity to network with others on the three R&D focus areas: energy efficiency and renewable energy, computer simulations and calculations, and separations. Research collaborations are forming in these three areas. This was an opportunity to identify mutual interest. In addition, a Vision2020 Update took place where participants learned about Vision2020's recent success and next steps that could involve their company.

Vision2020 Steering Committee

The committee recommitted to Vision2020's goals. See chemical companies get on board with Vision2020, November 2001 Press Release (PDF 77 KB).
